"Lead, Follow, or Get out of the Way: Secrets to being an Effectie Leader " Featuring Chandran Rajaratnam "CR"
Wether you are a professional in a corporation or own your own business, effective leadership skills are essential to success!
As President/CEO/General Manager of Gestetner Corp, Softchoice Corporation, and ASAP Software, Chandran Rajaratnam has extensive experience orchestrating explosive sales and profit growth, improving productivity and energerizing individuals to achieve excellence. He has held senior management positions in sales, marketing and management with notable companies such as IBM, Computerland, and Dell.
Chandran credits his success to a belief in the ability of every individual to learn the key behavioral characteristics needed to be an effective leader. His ability to lead employees, managers and executives to produce superior profits and keep customers "delighted" serves as confirmation of that belief. Recently, Chandra has focused on helping company executives become more effective, sales people enhance their results, and develop leadership skills within all levels - management and non-management.
Don't miss this opportunity to learn the secrets to achieving YOUR full potential as Chandran shares his experiences as an executive and his observations on the behaviors that differentiate successful business people from those who fail to achieve their full potential.
About Our Speaker:
Chandran began his career at IBM where he spent 14 years in various sales, marketing and management roles followed by 5 years at the computer retail chain ComputerLand Canada where he was General Manager . He was first appointed President/CEO while he was at Gestetner Corp in 1991, where he engineered it's turnaround. In 1997, he joined PC Software and Hardware reseller Softchoice Corporation as President/CEO, and proceeded to orchestrate it's explosive sales and profit growth. Chandran rounded out his corporate career at ASAP Software and in 2008 as an executive at Dell Inc. Chandran credits much of his success as an executive to the fact that he acted on his belief that the behavioral characteristics demonstrated by leaders can be learned by everyone. Furthermore, he felt that developing these behaviors in all of his employees was a key ingredient in producing superior profits and keeping customers "delighted". His successful record speaks for itself.
In 2008, he decided to concentrate full time on his passion for helping sales people enhance their results, managers and executives enhance their effectiveness, and everyone exhibiting leadership behavior in their day to day lives.
Chandran was born in Sri Lanka. When he was 7 years old, his mother went to America on a AAUW scholarship. Two years later when she got her Doctorate in Psychometrics at the University of Illinois, Champaign/Urbana, she decided to pursue her professional career in the US. Chandran and his father followed soon after.

"Negotiating Your Way to the TOP" Presented by Georgia Dudley, Founder & President, EWN
This popular presentation provides new concepts on Negotiating Your Way to the Top for professional women. Have you reached the TOP? What does the TOP look like for you? How will you know when you have arrived? In this presentation Georgia explores who we are as professional women, the importance of knowing what the TOP means to us, and how to navigate your way in today's business environment. This event is guaranteed to "empower" you to be a more effective business leader. Hang on to your seats and prepare to become "empowered"!
About our Speaker:
Georgia is an entrepreneur and former corporate executive. She has spent over 25 years as a sales executive and business owner with experience in executive sales management, sales team creation, sales training and development. She is one of the founders of Encore Consulting Services, Inc., a business and technology consultancy firm based in Chicago, IL with revenues of over $6 Million a year. In June of 2002 Georgia founded Empowering Women Network, Inc. (www.empoweringwomen.net) created out of her desire to help women thrive in their lives and careers, particularly younger and less experienced women. She believes in Women Helping Women, she believes that building relationships is important to women’s success in the workplace and she believes the market is “ripe” for organizations that foster this belief.
